Important: This work does not affect Myriad Cloud Native/Azure stations, only a small subset of Cloud Playout Dedicated stations that are hosted at The Mediasite. It also does NOT affect Myriad Anywhere Cloud which will be unaffected by the work listed below.

One part of our infrastructure that hosts some of our "Myriad Cloud Dedicated" stations is hosted at The Mediasite and they have informed us that they will be carrying out emergency maintenance tomorrow following a fire at a nearby building for an unrelated company that has caused issues with the electrical and internet connectivity to part of their infrastructure.

This work is planned to run Saturday the 23d October 2023 from 8am to 1pm UK time.

We understand that 2 of their suppliers (Northern Power and OpenReach) will both be replacing major cabling that was damaged or totally destroyed by the fire, and as part of this work The Mediasite will be switching their internet connection over to their alternative provider prior to this work starting.

We work very closely with the Darren and his amazing team at The Mediasite and based on our discussions today both Broadcast Radio and The Mediasite believe the only interruption to Myriad stations will be a very brief automatic reconnection at the moment of that changeover.

Because Myriad Cloud Dedicated stations use "outbound" resilient connections to our Myriad Anywhere Cloud service (which is hosted on Microsoft Azure) there is not expected to be any further outage.

Some stations may have seen the notice from The Mediasite that does note that some remote access services may not be available for the duration of the works however this does NOT apply to Myriad due to the way it works.

The Mediasite also run their own Status pages at https://status.themediasite.co.uk/ and we would encourage you to monitor that carefully while the work is taking place.

We will continue to work closely with Darren and the team there throughout their work tomorrow and will update this scheduled maintenance should there be any changes to the plan.
