Scheduled
We have received the notice below from The Media Site regarding some urgent electrical maintenance work that is being carried out at their data centre on Saturday morning at 5 am UK time.

They stress in the announcement that the outage is expected to only be for 5 minutes and that their battery backups will cover the period entirely, and that this message is purely out of an abundance of caution.

With regards to Myriad and Broadcast Radio services, this ONLY affects you are if you are hosted on Myriad Cloud Dedicated hosted on a VM at The Media Site.

If you are hosted on a Myriad Cloud Dedicated at our East Yorkshire facility, or on Myriad Cloud (Native/Azure) then this does not affect you.

No other Broadcast Radio services are affected, so there will be no outage to Broadcast Radio Streaming/apps/skills/website etc.

Our landlord has informed us today that URGENT work has to be carried out on the electricity supply to the building on Saturday 17th Feb at 5am, this is predicted to begin on time, and it may or may not cause your service to be unavailable, we have backups and redundancies in place, and they "should" hold the service during the work, and the chance you will see no impact at all is high, however there will be no redundant power available during the works, so the systems will be powered by UPS, so we are preparing for total outage in the worst case scenario that the UPS isn't able to hold the power should the works overrun.

The contractors have assured us it's a very quick task they need to perform ( approx. 5 mins ) , but we have to allow a larger window in case of complications.

We realise and understand this is very short notice and is not what you have come to accept from The MediaSite, but its 100% out of our control and we have no choice but to accept it.

Our support number will be manned throughout - 01704335900

We apologise profusely for this and our team will be on hand to get the services back online if they are to fail as soon as the work has been completed.
